Wheelchair consumer, 81, killed in highway collision with Inter Milan goalkeeper

An Inter Milan goalkeeper has reportedly run over and killed an 81-year-old man in a motorised wheelchair.

Josep Martínez, the membership’s second-choice keeper, was driving to coaching when the deadly crash happened on Tuesday.

Italian information shops report the aged man could have veered in entrance of Martínez’s automotive after a sudden medical incident. Police are on the scene of the crash within the village of Fenegrò, close to Como, near Inter’s coaching base in Appiano Gentile.

Officers are stated to have confirmed the crash – which occurred at round 9.40am – claimed the lifetime of an 81-year-old man.

Main Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport studies the aged man could have suffered a “sudden sickness”. The goalkeeper instantly stopped and supplied first assist to the person, studies add.

La Repubblica studies that the person was believed to have steered all of a sudden from a motorbike path into the oncoming lane of a highway.

Inter have since cancelled a routine press convention with the membership’s head coach Cristian Chivu this afternoon.

Martínez, who arrived on the membership final season, has made 12 appearances throughout all competitions, preserving seven clear sheets. He beforehand performed for Genoa, RB Leipzig, and Las Palmas. He has earned one worldwide cap for Spain.
