Germany can be trying to take the following step within the UEFA Nations League once they tackle Italy within the quarter-finals this month.
Having performed within the Serie A with AS Roma throughout his taking part in days, Germany sporting director Rudi Völler isn’t any stranger to Italy.
Forward of Thursday’s first leg in Milan, the 64-year-old has warned of the opposition the Italians pose, in accordance with SID.
“Italy are tough to play towards. They do not concede a lot and are compact. In addition they have a wonderful coach who prepares the crew properly. A tricky opponent,” Völler advised reporters on Monday.
The winner of the sport can be at residence for the remainder of the match, and Völler would naturally prefer to see the semi-finals and remaining performed in Germany.
“It’s a soccer basic. It is not an atypical sport. There’s loads at stake. It is concerning the Remaining 4, which we wish to play in Germany, so we’ve got to eradicate the Italians,” the DFB boss burdened.
He added that he has “little doubt” that Germany will prevail, though it will likely be “tough”.
The second leg can be performed in Dortmund on Monday.
