Kovac stuffed with reward for “sensational” new signing after Bundesliga debut

 

Carney Chukwuemeka, who joined Borussia Dortmund on mortgage from Chelsea within the winter switch window, lastly made his Bundesliga debut for the Black and Yellows in Saturday’s 6-0 win over Union Berlin after initially being hampered by a knee damage.

BVB coach Niko Kovac was delighted with what he noticed from the 21-year-old within the 20 minutes the midfielder was on the pitch.

“Carney got here on at present and was sensational. We noticed what he can do,” Kovac advised reporters after the sport, including:

“The 20 minutes he performed had been unbelievably good.

“The way in which he takes the ball, the best way he instantly turns within the route of play, it is distinctive.
